Richards, Moorehead & Laing Ltd is a multidisciplinary consultancy of Landscape Architects, Landscape Managers, Ecologists, Environmental Engineers and IT specialists. Our expertise is internationally renowned for the balance of engineering, landscape and environmental skills, and for regeneration and development projects in sensitive environments and in areas despoiled by previous uses.
We are seeking a broadly based chartered civil engineer to carry out a dual role within the firm.
Firstly to lead the engineering element of multidiscipline design and construction teams involved in slope stabilisation using bioengineering techniques An interest in engineering soils will be an advantage. Our bioengineering work is backed by research work which is continuing on our research site.
A second area of expanding activity within the firm involves the design element of skate parks constructed in reinforced concrete. The skate park "team" is a joint venture involving skate park specialists, RML as engineers and a contractor. The appointed engineer will be involved in this interesting and challenging work. Experience in reinforced concrete design and construction is therefore necessary.
The appropriate person will have around 10 years experience of working in project design and management.
Projects are located throughout the UK so applicants should be prepared to travel and spend some time each week away from our Ruthin office.
We are also interested in hearing from Engineering Technicians with excellent AutoCAD skills.
