Park, Recreation and Greenspace Design

Our multidisciplinary design team provide an effective planning, design and implementation service for outdoor spaces. We work closely with our clients to develop and refine a brief, to engage with local stakeholders and to prepare designs that are innovative and challenging. Whether the site is an established landscape or an entirely new one, we apply our skills to each site to create or enhance an individual sense of place and to reflect the needs of local people.

With a wealth of background experience in the reuse of land and the conservation of historic gardens and landscapes, we are well-known for our sensitivity to the positive qualities of a setting and to the established patterns of use. We have a particularly strong background in the creation and management of green space on former industrial land.

RML prepares designs for urban parks, riverside open space, residential landscapes, green corridors on former railways, country parks and historic landscapes. We are also at the forefront of skatepark design in the UK and have designed formal sports facilities, cycle paths, walkways, play areas and school gardens.
