Planning Services

Projects have included waste disposal sites, minerals sites, housing schemes, engineering reclamation works, cycleways, leisure and recreation schemes and infrastructure projects.

RML can act as Environmental Co-ordinator to manage project teams, undertake survey work leading to reports and impact statements required to assist the planning authority to reach a decision.

The range of information needed to support a planning application can be wide.

Examples include:

  • Statutory Environmental Statements and non-statutory supporting statements
  • Appropriate Assessment and other Ecological Statements
  • Design statements
  • Access statements
  • Visual Impact Statements
  • Lighting Impact Statements
  • Traffic Impact Statements
  • Noise Impact Statements
  • Ecological Impact Statements
  • Method Statements eg. for the control and monitoring of dust or noise

Expert Witness and Public Inquiry work: RML staff have prepared and presented evidence as expert witnesses at public inquiries into planning applications and trunk road schemes.

Once planning permission has been granted, we provide support in fulfilling conditions, for example on site monitoring, Liaison Groups, technical consultations and site restoration management.
