RML history
RML was established by our current Managing Director, Ivor Richards OBE, in 1984, to provide multi-disciplined engineering, landscape and environmental consultancy.  Originally specialising in brownfield remediation, the company gained a reputation for high high-quality design in sensitive landscapes and for applying the principles of ‘working with nature’.  RML has published national guidance documents based on decades of experience and technical expertise.  

Our approach draws on our expertise as innovators and designers from a range of professional disciplines.  Using our knowledge of the planning and environmental regulations and processes, we provide our clients with solutions that meet their objectives and respond positively to the landscape setting and planning policies.
